Shannon Festival 2016 Highlights

Come back for 2017 and make more memories in Shannon Town

The Venue

The Shannon Festivals main purpose is to show everyone what can happen regularly once The Shannon Venue is delivered in the heart of Shannon.  It is also an opportunity to showcase the talent and creativity that exists locally, and celebrate the town.
The Shannon Venue is a multipurpose, multi-functional, community, civic and creative centre located in the middle of Shannon Town.  The site has been purchased and full planning permission has been received for the development.  It is hoped that the project will be completed by the end of 2019.
With the absence of a recognised town centre, or main street, it is hoped that ‘The Venue – Croí na Sionna’ will become the focal point for Shannon. A place where the community can meet, engage and interact with each other.
It is a not-for-profit initiative for the community, by the community.
